Goodbye Work! Hello Retirement and Senior Living!
1. Where the Grass is Greener and Years are Golden for us Baby Boomers!
I retired in September of 2013. In an effort to do something fun and interesting I decided that in my spare time (and I do have a lot of it!) I would create a website/blog with everything my wife Peggy and I have experienced from planning, saving, keeping busy, etc. I will also cover things like Social Security, Medicare and supplements. I am not an expert on any of this but have learned a lot and will be passing on information based on knowledge my wife and I have gained and things we have accomplished. There is a lot of info on the web to help you but the information I will share will be in layman's terms. Remember that everyone's situation is different but hopefully this will help in some ways.
Retirement can be fun and should be. For some it means travel. For others moving to a location with the perfect climate and low cost of living. Then for many it means staying put in the home they have enjoyed for years. However you want to spend your retirement is doable with the proper planning, saving, and taking care of your health.
